Study Dance and Aerial Classes Taught by Houston's Premier Professional Dancers in Our Beautiful Professional Studios in the Heights. Youth, Pre-Professional, Enrollment, Series, and Drop-In Programs for Adults. Hunter Dance Center is the Home of Open Dance Project, Houston's Premier Contemporary Dance Theater Company and one of Dance Magazine's "25 to Watch."

Adult Program

Ongoing dance and conditioning classes for ages 15+ from beginning to advanced professional level. Try our Aerial (Series & Drop-In), Pilates, Ballet, Modern, Hip Hop, Tap, Jazz and Contemporary Classes.

Student Program

Start your young dancer off on the right foot with proper technique and a love of dance in all its forms from the very beginning. Ballet, Aerial Dance, Modern, Circus Arts, Hip Hop & Acro for Pre-School through Pre-Professional Level.

Summer Camps

Spend the Day with HDC Faculty and learn to dance, build a show, or learn to fly through the air on aerial fabrics and trapeze. Full and Half Day options for ages 7 – 13.

Pre-Pro Program

Join our Academy Program where our most committed pre-professional students focus on core techniques of Ballet and Modern and take electives in Aerial Dance, Repertory, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Musical Theater.

About Hunter

Home of the award winning professional dance company, Open Dance Project.

Under the direction of award winning choreographer (Dance Magazine's 25 to Watch) and dance education specialist Annie Arnoult, Hunter Dance Center provides exceptional dance training from the ground up for absolute beginners to experienced professionals. A love of dance and movement in all its forms is fostered by our stellar faculty of dance artists who are actively involved in the creative field. Creative classes for preschoolers, a rigorous pre-professional program for aspiring young dancers, open dance classes for teens and adults, Yoga, Pilates, and dance related fitness classes can all be found inside our four state of the art studios. Hunter Dance Center is home to the professional dance theater company Open Dance Project (opendanceproject.org) whose season of world-class dance theater performance is developed and rehearsed at Hunter. Open Dance Project company members teach throughout our levels and programs, bringing their expertise and passion to the public and training the next generation of innovative dance artists in Houston.
